eathe clean air, but data from the World Health Organization (WHO) shows that air pollution affects more than 90% of the world’s population. About 4.2 million deaths are caused by outdoor air pollution each year, including 300,000 children under the age of 5.
 
Clean air is essential to human health and well-being. Air pollution has become one of the most pressing issues of the 21st century. It is the biggest threat to our environment and affects everyone from humans, animals, crops, cities, forests to aquatic ecosystems. The pollution levels are "definitely too high for the public" near major roadways in metropolitan cities — especially at rush hour and in winter. Trees are nature’s way of cleaning the air, but they come with the downside of needing time in order to grow. There are a wide range of air purification systems that work inside of homes from those that clean dust and allergens to filters that eliminate deadly pathogens. There has been nothing similar that has translated for the outdoor environment.
 
In this proposal, TRIZ is used to propose a number of solutions, to enhance the existing air purification systems to ultimately improve the overall quality of the air that we
eathe in our su
oundings.
