I need a 5-7 page on: Plagiarism free!!! Activity Description Warm-up Activity 3.1 The history of psychology is, to some degree,…DescriptionI need a 5-7 page on: Plagiarism free!!! Activity DescriptionWarm-up Activity 3.1The history of psychology is, to some degree, a history of influential individuals who made ground-breaking contributions to the field. The biographies of these individuals chronicle not only their great discoveries, but also their more common life details: marital strife, eccentric lifestyles, substance abuse, and other ordinary and unusual characteristics. To what degree should a theory be judged by the character of the theorist? No matter what your personal opinion may be of these individuals’ life stories, when discussing their ideas, it is important to avoid a logical fallacy called the ad hominen argument.AssignmentFor this assignment, you will present a transcript from a mock interview with five functionalist psychologists and thinkers: Charles Darwin, John Dewey, William James, G. Stanley Hall, and Leta Stetter Hollingsworth. Imagine that these theorists were asked the following five questions, and respond as you think each would respond. Draw on material regarding the professional activities, personal background, and characteristics of each person to make the interview informative, accurate, and realistic. The questions you will ask are listed below:What do you consider to be the proper subject matter of psychology? What methods should psychology use to approach the subjects it studies? What do you expect will be your most lasting contribution to the field of psychology? What do you consider to be an appropriate role for the field of psychology in society? What particular personal challenges or characteristics, or conditions in the society and the profession of psychology, had the greatest impact upon your development as a psychologist?Feel free to include an additional question of any of the interviewees.Draw on the text and original source material from the theorists to prepare the interview. You may use other scholarly resources as well, but this is not a requirement. Cite the material you use appropriately and include a list of sources at the end of the transcript. Length: 5-7 pages, not including title and reference pages.Your paper should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented in the course and provide new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your response should reflect scholarly writing and current APA standards. PSYCHOLOGY
PYSCHOLOGY - Psychology can be defined as the detailed study of mind and its behaviour under different conditions. As every person differs to each other in one or the other way, these differences are often reflected by the cognitive behaviour of people in the same situation, this difference may be of various patterns. These patterns may be further categorised into 4 styles of cognitive, forensic, social and developmental psychology. Cognitive psychology is a physical reflection of body movements or behavioural changes that could be treated by medicines while forensic psychology would be a complex process of
ain imaging, change of decision making, memory recall. Social psychology would rather be a mob behaviour and not an individual behaviour. Shakespeare too had mentioned that “Mob psychology can be very dangerous”. A person may behave differently as an individual as against the time when he is a part of a mob and is not behaving under an individual identity. Developmental psychology is more associated with genetical behaviour of mind over the period. The impact of body age against the mental age is the base of such kind of psychology.
HISTORY- Psychology was not highlighted as a major stream until early 19th century and the major credentials goes to Mr Wilhem Wundt and Mr William James. Wundt viewed psychology as a conscious experience where he had believed that psychology is a mix of different components of conscious which would be combined to form an experience of psychology. He had written his famous book of “Principles of Physiological Psychology”. His method was later called as “internal perception” where one can study each component of mind as objectively as possible. Wundt would treat mind like an object with various angles and hence each angle needs to be explored.
Mr James on the other hand was more of student to the Darwin Theory of Evolution and he had believed that Psychology is based on the natural theory of adaptation. Changes may come as per the environment and the way a person adapts in that environment and thrive. psychology’s purpose was to study the function of behaviour in the world, and as such, his perspective was known as functionalism. James was a believer of some part of Wundt theory of introspection as analysis of each component of mind would give a better analysis but he was also inclined to add few measures in his study like including the use of various recording devices, and examinations of concrete products of mental activities and of anatomy and...
