Introduction
ACS Code of Ethics is a part of the ACS constitution
Its an ethical approach to the work
Helps in identifying and reducing the adversities associated with the work
It was Apple which is being reported of not adhering to the labour laws of China
This also violated the ACS Code of Ethics with respect to Honesty and Enhancement of the Quality of Life
The ACS Code of Ethics is a part of the ACS Constitution. It needs that all its members must adhere to these code of ethics. The community and the society must adhere to the standard sets of values by honouring the dignity of the individuals. Apple Inc. in China was reported to have violated the ACS Code of Ethics. They hired temporary labours by violating the 10% set limit, removal of the intern students after they were forced to work overtime and paid insufficient bonus in the form of wages to the workers which were not sufficient enough to support their livelihood and their families. Hence, there was simply violation of the ACS Code of Ethics with respect to the honesty and enhancement of the quality of the life.

It is a code of Ethics
Deals with upholding the honour, dignity and effectiveness of the profession
Must acts with professional responsibility and integrity while dealing with clients, employers, stakeholders and students
The ACS Code of Ethics is a part of the ACS Constitution. Therefore, it is necessary for each members of ACS community to uphold as well as advance the honour, dignity and effectiveness of being a professional. Hence, according to the ACS Code of Ethics it requires a person or an organization to be a good citizen and act by adhering to the laws by adhering to the values of the society.
The professional person, to uphold and advance the honor, dignity and effectiveness of the profession in the arts and sciences of information processing, and in keeping with high standards of competence and ethical conduct, will be honest, forthright and impartial, and will serve with loyalty employers, clients and the public, and will strive to increase the competence and prestige of the profession, and will use special knowledge and skill for the advancement of human welfare (ACS Code of Ethics, 1994).

Primacy of Public Interest: Placing the public interests above the personal, business and sectional interests.
The Enhancement of Quality of Life: It will try to enhance the quality of life of the persons affected by the work.
Honesty: Must be honest in the representation of the skills, knowhow, products and services.
Competence: One must work competently and diligently for all the stakeholders of the company
Professional Development: Will increase the professional development along with that of the colleagues and employees.
Professionalism: We will try to enhance the integrity of the society and the respect of the members for each others.

It helps in establishing an ethical approach for recognizing and minimizing the adverse impacts
Enhancement of Quality of Life:
The development of ICT has had a significant impact on our society and way of life. Whilst this impact has been beneficial to a very great extent, like all technologies, ICT has also had some negative effects, and will continue to do so. An ethical approach to your work will help to recognise and minimise these adverse effects. You should promote equal access to the benefits of ICT by all members of society.
