Lecturer's name, qualifications, background:  For this guest lecture, I was listening to Cindy who is currently a Non-Executive Director of Auto & General. She is also the adviser to CEO of Yoma Bank in Myanmar. She is one of the prolific leaders whose career aspirations involves managing National Australia Bank as the Business Executive General Manager. Indeed, I really loved the Guest Lecture because it was very inspiration and insightful.
Subject/Context of the talk:    Leadership
 KEY IDEA No. 1:    First thing that I really impressed about her is that Cindy was very relatable. She migrated to Australia at the age of 17 when she started to study and work part time in PwC as an undergraduate to support her family financially. When you hear you speak there is so much about her that motivates me to better myself. Firstly, she was enjoying working at PwC yet she switched to a Recruitment role since she realized her passion was to connect with people and place them where they can be best leverage by the company as well as they can fully utilize their potential. This is one of the primary aspects of a leader that they have the skill to identify which people would fit best in which role in the organization.
My reaction –agreement/disagreement:          I agree with her completely on this point, we need to be a constant learner in life and update as well as upskill ourselves with time. This is what keep us relevant and abreast with the industry
Ideas link to theory/study: I can relate this to concept of Emotional Intelligence.
