Student instructions
To complete this Project, learners will need to watch a short video and create an observation record on the child featured.
Learners will then need to analyse their observations and create a learning outcome for the child based on their findings.
Learners will need to develop three (3) experiences to support the child to achieve the learning outcome. For each experience include considerations for intentional teaching, modelling and the learning environment.
Learners should also show how the learning outcomes and planned experiences reflect the approach to children’s education and care outlined in the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia (EYLF).
Learners may use the format provided or create their own formats for the running record and planning experiences.
It may be useful for learners to be prepared with an open document or pen and paper to record their observations.
Steps for completing this assessment:
a) Watch the following short video that shows a toddler drawing with coloured pencils and taking an interest in some paint pots. This video is approximately 3.5 minutes long.
