The tasks

For the purpose of this assignment, you are assumed to be one of the software consultants
appointed to shoulder the system analysis responsibilities in, the project outlined in the case study.

You will plan and manage the project as well as investigate and document its system requirements.
For your Assignment 1 submission, you will produce a report that discusses this project based on your
understanding of it and the related investigation results through the tasks below.

Case Study for Assignment 1 & Assignment 2
The Case: Go Help Me
“Go Help Me” (GHE) is a charitable organisation run by a group of volunteers and the chairperson of
the organisation is Alex Smith.
Alex along with other volunteers started this movement to assist homeless people and other people
who might be in unforeseen trouble and wanting to raise some funds using crowd funding. Crowd
funding is a relatively new concept in Australia, whereby general public may decide to donate small
sums of money to help others in need, these amounts may range from $5 to any higher amount.
Generally, patrons will donate on an average of $20, with smallest donation being $5 and largest being
up to $200.
The concept has been very popular lately and an example of few recent causes represented by the
movement include raising funds for treatment of a terminally ill child, raising funds for someone
whose house got destroyed in a fire and raising funds for a single parent in hospital to enable them to
pay their rent and child’s school and carer fees.

ent Manual Process – Donations
GHE cu
ently promote campaigns using free messaging services like WhatsApp or WeChat. Patrons
eceive messages that include photos and a story writeup regarding a cause. If the cause appeals to
them they logon to their banks website and then transfer money online to GHE trust account. Patrons
also send a copy of the donation receipt via WhatsApp or WeChat to GHE. Once the funds are received
y GHE, at the end of each week the accountant generate tax invoices / receipts for each patron and
either emails them the receipt or sends it out to them via WhatsApp or WeChat.
Details Recorded for Patrons
• Name
• Address
• Postal Address
• Phone Number
• Email address
• Whether donation is anonymous
• Whether tax receipt needed or not
• Name of cause for which funds are donated
Accounting
At the end of each month the accountant for the GHE reconciles all accounts and remits all monies
collected to various beneficiaries.

1. Introduction
The GHE (Go Help Me) is doing a noble cause and helping the needy persons from the donation received from different patrons. The movement towards online platform to make donation and generating receipts with detailed history will help GHE to increase its values for Australian citizens. The GHE is cu
ently using we chat and similar free applications for their donation promotion. But these free applications can only make promotion but any receipt generation, and reporting history is not possible with them. All these operations are manual and require man force and volunteers are acting as the work force of GHE. The volunteers are provides their services on free time and it’s not possible for GHE to depend on them. Thus, the idea of Chairperson Mr. Alex Smith is great. To start this analysis report, the development methodology is first identified and its suitability is checked. When methodology is final, then, the requirements related to performed functions with this online donation application are identified. To measure the economic feasibility of GHE for this project, capital amount, interest rate, and discount are used in making analysis of cost benefits. The Gantt chart and schedule are developed so that effective interfaces with user friendly nature can be developed for GHE. This proposed application will minimize the required manual operations at GHE.
2. Approach of system development
The system development is based on selected approach and different approaches like agile, scrum, DSDM etc are available and developers makes selection of any approach on bases of identified issues and system requirements with provided time frame. So, to understand the issues and system requirements, the deep study of provided case is required. From the case description, it is clear that GHE is providing help to ill patients, homeless persons and individual having personal financial crisis etc. The GHE is cu
ently using we chat and similar free applications for their donation promotion. The patrons are able to donate any amount among range of $5-$200 and GHE maintains donor name, his contact number and email, his Zip code and complete address, so that the tax receipts of donated amount can be provided to patrons via free chatting applications on manual bases.
Now, as the main faced issues at GHE are identified, so, recommendation of agile methodology can be done here. This methodology will best suit to this online system and effective developments can easily be ca
ied out in provided time frame. The agile methodology provides use of progression model on bases...
