So, vitamin C is very important for sports person because during training they have tissues injury then vitamin C helps to repair these damage tissues. Vitamin C is also essential for sports development because some oxidative may damage during different exercises so, it may help to reverse some oxidative. Moreover, vitamin C also helps to promote and keep healthy to immune system. In addition, Vitamin E is an antioxidant which may also help to prevent some damage oxidative and promotes immune system. Vitamin D is also helpful for immune system because it regulates innate immunity and inflammation. During training, most of the athletes have respiratory infection so Vitamin D influence susceptibility to such infections in athletes.
Biological functions:-
Vitamin D plays an important role in a variety of physiologic functions. Vitamin D is very helpful for health, training and performance. Vitamin D helps to make strong bones. So, that is why sufficient vitamin D status is important for bone health and prevention of bone injury in athletic populations. Diet should be sufficient during training for athletes because it provides enough energy and nutrients. Moreover, nutritional supplements are essential during training and exercises so, it can find in pills, tablets, capsule and liquid forms. Athletes needs take 400 to 3,000mg of vitamin C per day for several days which can reduce the pain and speed up muscle strength recovery. In addition, sports people do not get sun exposure so, that is why they needs to take vitamin D supplement like >75 to 80nmol/L. According to Department of Health recommends that sports people needs to take 10 micrograms vitamin D supplements.

After having vitamin, A, is stored in live and accumulates over time. Most people develop vitamin A toxicity when they have high-dose dietary supplements.
When people have excessive amount of vitamin D then it develops vitamin D toxicity. Vitamin D toxicity builds hyperglycaemia which can cause nausea, vomiting and weakness. Vitamin D can weaken the bones and damage the kidneys.
When sports people take excessive amount of vitamin C, sometimes, they complaint for dia

Vitamin A is helpful for body functions, but deficiency of Vitamin A is not common in developed countries. But some developing countries are taking enough Vitamin A. So, deficiency of Vitamin A develops skin problems, dry eyes, chest pain and so on.
Deficiency of Vitamin E develops muscle weakness, immune system problems, walking difficulties and so on. Vitamin C also develops many problems like skin problems and different nails shape and so on. People do not get sun exposure so, that is why sports people feel muscle weakness which leads to deficiency of Vitamin D. Vitamin D insufficiency is defined as serum levels of 20–30 ng/mL (50–75 nmol/L) and vitamin D deficiency as serum levels below 20 ng/mL . Factors which may inhibit the synthesis of vitamin D in athletes include geographic location, skin pigmentation, indoor training, early- or late-day training and extensive.

INTRODUCTION :
Vitamins are the essential organic compounds that are required to sustain our life. They are only required in small quantities for the body. Most of the vitamins that are required are received through a person’s diet (or) food. These are taken through dietary sources as they are not produced in enough quantities by the human body (or) are not at all produced. Vitamins play a vital in the normal metabolism of human body. They are majorly required for the growth, normal cell function and development. The lack of appropriate quantities of these lead to deficiency diseases. Vitamins are categorized into fat soluble and water soluble vitamins. The fat soluble vitamins are A, D, E and K. There are nine water soluble vitamins, which are vitamin C, B1 (thiamine), B2 (riboflavin), B3 (niacin), B5 (pantothenic acid), B6, B7 (biotin), B9 (folate) and B12 (cyanocobalamin).
The main focus of this report is to elaborate the role of vitamins in sports development, the composition of vitamins, dietary source and its biological functions.
