What does unionization look like in healthcare
Unionization in health care organizations is a common phenomenon though there has been fluctuation in the number of members of the unions. Large numbers of health care professionals become members to health care unions as the unions have started focusing on the healthcare organizations like hospitals and the healthcare system than ever before. Unionization is basically organized labor force that can impose checks and balances on the employers. The healthcare organization share great relationship with the unions but sometimes these relationships can be challenging. There has been rise in its activity as the unions now look to expand their jurisdictional scope, nature and geographic breadth (Jenero, 2010). To effectively organize the employers in the health care industry the unions have increased their organizing budgets and their resources.
