Q1.    Discuss the various aspects of the health of indigenous women with particular reference to Australia. How does the health of Australian indigenous women compare with the health of indigenous women in other developed countries?
Q2.    Discuss, with examples, the main causes of death among women and children in developing countries and show the pattern (approximate proportions) of death according to five leading causes of death. What would be the five leading causes of death if the developing country becomes a developed country, and why?
Q3.    What makes it "Too Far to Walk" for pregnant women to reach a medical/health facility? Answer the question by describing the three phases of delay in seeking medical/health care by women, and discuss the factors influencing each phase of delay. Support your answers with appropriate examples.

Q4.    Design an intervention to reduce Reproductive Tract Infections (RTIs) and Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) in a country of your choice. What biological, social and behavioural risk factors would you take into account in designing the intervention? Give reasons for your answer.
Q5.    Given that maternal mortality and child mortality are influenced by a common set of biological, intermediate and distant factors, design an integrated framework for analysing the determinants of maternal mortality and child mortality based on the frameworks proposed by McCarthy and Maine, and by Mosley and Chen. In the integrated framework that you have designed, explain how the distant and the immediate factors affect pregnancy outcomes and childbirth outcomes.

2. Main Causes of Death among Women and Children in Developing Countries
In developing countries, health outcome of the women and children is very poor in comparison to the developed countries. It has been seen women and children mostly died at the time of delivery. Children under the age of 2 years are very vulnerable. Malnutrition during pregnancy and lactation period is responsible for the high rate of the death in developing country. As suggested by Ge
e et al. (2018), high rate of the poverty in developing countries resulted in low nutrition among the pregnant women. This led to the death of the women at the time of the delivery. On the other hand, there is very high rate of neonatal death within few months of their birth. Children below the age of 5 years suffered from diseases like kwashiorkor and marasmus.
There is high rate of anaemia among children and responsible for the death of the young children. As mentioned by Yaya et al. (2016), women are suffering from diseases such as HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis, which is very high cause of the death in developing countries. Lack of awareness among the women related to the sexually transmitted diseases and failure among the women related to the family planning further lowers the health outcome of the women. As noted by Manyahi et al. (2015), women and children in developing countries suffered from the infectious diseases. These diseases become cause of the death of the women and children in developing countries.
Apart from this, tuberculosis in developing country is very prevalent and high, which not only become cause of the diseases as well as resulted in lowering the health outcome of the entire community. The five-leading cause of death among children below the age of 5 years is Dia
