Assessment Details and Instructions
Purpose:
The purpose of this assessment task is for students to:
· explore the historical development of mental health and wellbeing services in Australia over the last 50 years
· include comment on mental health policies, the recovery process, and mental health service delivery
· include the impact/influence of international directions in mental health strategies (at a national, state and NGO level) on the development of Australian mental health policy and services at the national, state and NGO level
· communicate these explorations using a Pecha Kucha

Process:
A Pecha Kucha 20x20:
· Pecha Kucha 20x20 is a simple presentation format (use MS PowerPoint) where students show 20 images, each for 20 seconds (6 minutes and 40 seconds in total).
· It is a format that makes presentations concise, and keeps things moving at a rapid pace. The images advance automatically and students talk along to the images.
· Also include as additional slides your APA style references for the Pecha Kucha. This means your Pecha Kucha will be 20 images PLUS reference list
· There is no word limit on this task since your words are limited by the 20-second timeframe. Please keep in mind that the usual wordcount for a 20-second na
ation would be around 40-45 words.
· Na
ation for each slide can be recorded onto each slide in PowerPoint. Please ensure that na
ation for each slide is not more than 20 seconds, so that na
ation is not cut off after 20 seconds when the PowerPoint is in slide show mode.
· When you upload the Pecha Kucha presentation, also upload the following documents to the online class space assessment dropbox (Turnitin):
· Signed cover sheet
· Transcript template (see below) inclusive of APA conventions (use MS Word document)
· Ensure the Pecha Kucha presentation has the APA conventions through the presentation and in the end of presentation reference list
The Pecha Kucha transcript template is below. This template is available in the Assessment Folder in the Moodle class space.

I’m here to talk about something which extremely important but we often ignore it- mental health . To begin with, let me tell you, a good mental health can never be defined as such. Since the definition of a good mental health can vary from person to person. Each individual find their own means of happiness and satisfaction to promote their own mental health.
1
A person realizes its own potential when he/she is in a state of good mental health, an individual can concentrate around his personal and professional life and is more productive since the ability to cope with the stresses increases.
2
A healthy and positive mindset is very easy to achieve: pursuing your ho
ies – learning new skills (cooking, painting), being around with people you are comfortable with and with whom you share common interests. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle by eating healthy, experiencing new things in life, staying active.
3
There are many ways to improve your mental health.
Though it is absolutely an individual approach, but relaxation
ings in a lot of positivity and a person can relax by so many things, watching television, yoga, some like to cook others would want to go shopping.
4
Other than relaxation, other things like staying connected with family and friends and getting involved in certain things on a daily basis, getting a sound sleep and eating healthy also helps
inging in a peaceful state of mind. Bridging the gap is very important for a healthy mind. Being around and being su
ounded by people you like and people who support you
5
A MENTALLY HEALTHY PERSON is not at all difficult to characterize He/she feels absolutely confident. They never underestimate their own ability and feel super secure A mentally healthy individual have a positive mindset for others.
6
This means that he is able to be understand others and to love them and to form an opinion about that person based on his own judgment. A stable individual always trust others and is opinionated. The mentally healthy person will definitely meet the demands of life and will not be bowled over by his own emotions of fear, anger, love or guilt.
