Mental Health Service Strategic Plan is mainly focused on improving the overall mental
health of the community and people in the Sydney Local Health District. New South Wales
Mental Healthcare is serving the community and people to manage their mental illness in an
effective manner. They focus on continuous improvement and in providing the best service to the
people. But such goals and objectives can be accomplished only through best cooperation and

The strategic goals, vision, and mission of the NSW mental health care are impressive,
ut at the same time, they suffer from various shortcomings. It is appropriate for the NSW
mental health care to address the gaps in an effective manner using strategic management
techniques. It will enhance the overall performance of the hospital and at the same time will
provide a better opportunity to accomplish various goals of the hospital. The main gap is that
carers do not have a clear understanding of the strategic goals of the organization to accomplish

evolves around six crucial factors that consumers and carers, services and facilities, staff and
education, research and development, organization and the communities. Some gaps are present
in the strategy. The main gap might arise to the NSW mental health care mental health care is
due to the lack of carers support worker in the mental service care.
The external environment of the NSW mental health care is causing more influence over
the strategy formation and implementation. The general environmental condition that causes
impact over the strategy is the government institution and research organization. The health care
environment includes planning, primary providers, representatives and carers (Ginter, Duncan
and Swayne, 2013, p. 46). There is a requirement for the organization to make use of best
strategic management techniques to handle the various challenges that the organization is facing.

strategic goal of NSW mental health care to get better assistance for their growth and
improvement.
The main gap arises in the strategy is due to the poor participation of the consumers and
the carers (SLHD, 2015). There is a lack of a gap in the carers supports workers that are creating
more challenge for the implementation of various strategies. The other main gap is the workforce
skill gap that is predominant in the metal care hospital creating more issues. There is no effective
access to the hospital in retrieving and obtaining all the required data, medication and clinical
treatments that are provided by translating the information appropriately. There is not a provision
that motivates in providing the information as who is providing what services and poor
communication and integration are creating more challenges (SLHD, 2015). The hospital did not
make a clear driver analysis that is essential to make any analysis and make the measurement.
There is not the enhanced level of transparency in the operation of the hospital which is
essential for the successful accomplishment of various goals and strategy of the hospital. There is
a requirement for detailed analysis about the various measures the hospital will use for
measuring the performance. Similarly, the hospital has a generalized set of objectives, but there
is a requirement for the making independent assessment. There is requirement for various
techniques in the hospital to make an effective implementation of the goals (SLHD, 2015). The
main issue is that it does not focus on the suitable strategic map that they will make use to
