Description of Interview
Old age people find remembering their past life a really satisfying and healing task. Discovering their memories and letting them evolve becomes possible through interviewing old people about their life history. This process gives an opportunity to know the person better and sometimes get learning and lessons from their lives (Craik, 2008). The interview can be organized by framing questions related to their life from childhood and covering the whole of adulthood and early old age.
A small introduction can be taken initially regarding from where the person hails and their family background. Then the personal likes and dislikes of the person are asked to make the one comfortable and at ease with the interviewer. Some questions related to the present refe
ing to the lifestyle he or she is living right now (Park and Festini, 2016). Some personal and professionals questions also can be asked considering the intensity to which an interviewer can dig in for the personal ones.
The interview should be such so that it holds the interest of the person in discussing their life history. One can ask about the events they remember from their 20’s, 30’s, 40’s age, and why these events stand out in their mind. If there were any particular time, they will not cherish due to the immense struggle involved.
One the person could go back to any age and relive the moment then what age that would be (Luo and Craik, 2008). Questions...
