It can be said that the main focus is basically on the scenario on one of the Forgotten Australians who spent some part of their childhood in the orphanages, children’s homes, as well as other forms of the care homes. Furthermore, this particular report will be highlighting and discussing about the triggers in a particular aged care situation. The old age people become agitated quickly and it is reported that is due to the potential categories of trigger such as environmental, medical along with the psychological.
Triggers are something that tends to inject stress as well as it also has the ability to affect the long-term health negatively in the seniors. It has been observed that Gladys spent her teenage years and early childhood in an orphanage with strict rules. She was punished and Gladys was not at all involved in any decision with regard to neither apprenticeship nor foster home so she was quite stressed and gradually developed depression and anxiety. This is one of the first reminders of the past trauma as it resulted in depression and anxiety (Cawley et al., 2014).
Secondly, later on when Gladys stepped out of her childhood then she successfully got a job in the hairdresser salon but still she found it quite difficult to develop and maintain the relationships at her workplace.
