Section 1: Front Office Roster Preston Hotel
Overview
As the Front Office Manager of the Preston Hotel you need to write the next reception roster.
Organisational requirements are:
· Minimum of 2 staff on the reception desk at all times (2 staff on an early and 2 on a late)
· The switchboard is staffed from 0800 – 1630 (There is one full-time Telephonist and 3 casual staff who are Telephonists/Receptionists).
· Refer to the legend on the bottom of the roster for shift codes.
· Your staff work a 160 hour 4 week period, with 8 days off per 4 week period and an extra RDO, known as the 38hr RDO.
Good rostering principles apply:
· Days off to be consecutive where practicable.
· A weekend off is also provided once per 4 week period, where practicable.
· 38hr RDO to run consecutively to RDOs.
· An approximate even spread of early and late shifts over the 4 week period.
· No more than 7 days working in a row.
· Try to keep several of the same shifts in a row, where practicable.
· Your roster must comply with the award.
· Your roster must consider the a
ivals and departures report noted on the following page. When a
ivals and departures exceed 90, three staff are to be rostered on.
The following staff are due to take their accumulated 38hr RDOs as noted below:
