Answer 1
In the online editorial article by McMichael and Hanna (2014), the authors have described that how the u
anization had engulfed the connection between the nature and human and the lack of ecological understanding is leading to the failure of connection of humans with the nature. Another topic that the authors have discussed is the manner in which the human activities is polluting and destroying the ecological balance. The claims made by the author is true because the manner in which the pollution had increased is creating a serious problem and further turning the world into an inhabitable place. Further, it is added by Hughes, Hanna and Fenwick (2016) that the climatic change is turning out to be a silent killer and giving serious health impact.
Answer 2
With the increasing adversities because of the global pollution level, the community design is the goal, as that will aim to develop a sustainable community along with protecting the environment and improving the quality of living. Prasetiyo, Kamarudin and Dewantara (2019) have discussed that in order to achieve the community sustainability the condition of the economic, environmental and social factors of the society needed to be considered.
Sustainability of the environment along with the society and community can be jointly achieved by the participation of the people of the society and the policies and initiative taken by the government. A more positive approach and the adaptation of the nature will help the people to achieve the goal of the sustainable community and that will help in the end in leading a healthy life by avoiding the adversities of the nature.
In the paper, there are different kinds of practices have been discussed and along with that different kinds of steps needed to be taken to achieve the aim of achieving the community sustainability. Chan et al. (2016) have discussed that the numbers of initiative that can be taken are as follows:
A more use of the active transportation such as walking and bicycling will significantly reduce the greenhouse emissions. This will have dual benefit as the environmental pollution will be reduced and the health of the people will be improved because of the physical activity by cycling and walking.
The use of more temperature stable houses as that will reduce the risk of heat exposure and that will further reduce the use of electricity and will simultaneously reduce the emission and improve the quality of air.
Making use of a more green health care options which will show a significant amount of cost effective health care system and the reduced amount of the greenhouse gas emission
