The purpose of this project is to allow the student to gather information as they would prepare an educational session for a patient with a prevalent chronic illness.

· Discuss the disease the process as guided below:

o Explain the disease process and potential disease progression.

o How is the disease diagnosed at an initial diagnosis?

o What treatment options are available for patients both at initial diagnosis and the disease progresses?

	This assignment is based on an explanation of a popular disease known as Pulmonary Fibrosis. The tissues of the body become damaged in this lung disease. It needs good treatment and medication to get rid of this disease. It makes a patient run short of breath. The work will equally focus on the process of the disease. It equally dealt with progression of disease. A meaningful explanation of diagnosis of this disease will be given. The treatment options of these diseases are numerous. In this assignment there should be learning regarding this disease. 
Disease process and progression
	It is mentioned in the above paragraph that Pulmonary Fibrosis has been affecting the lungs. The process is that, during this attack of this disease the lungs scarred in due time. The environmental pollution, wrong medications and infections is the cause of this disease. It has been reported that there are limited options in treating this disease. The treatment includes oxygen therapy and pulmonary rehabilitations schemes. It will be helpful lungs to be calm and composed when a pressure in lungs has been created (Lederer & Martinez, 2018). Lung transplantation is another option for the treatment of this disease.
	The progression of this disease runs fast when at an estimated 5 million people are affected at a time. The main progression of these diseases is by creation of autoimmune disorders. It will also include the cause of viral infections and bacterial infections like tuberculosis.  It is termed as idiopathic.
