Electronic medical record (EMR) refers to the innovative implementation of keeping the health records of patient or population in an electronic system which are easily accessible between different health care organisations when compared to paper record keeping. Since, physicians are highly occupied with their work, therefore sparing time to search and implement the technology in their organisation becomes difficult. Apart, many physicians are pre-occupied with negative thoughts and some are not easily convinced (skeptical) for a change in system. The major factor is the non-availability of funds and support from governmental/ external organisations that put impact on the adoption of EMR, particularly for low budgeted organisations. Lastly, inefficiency shown by insurance companies connected with healthcare centres in implementing actions and policies to aid the use of such innovative technology (Cucciniello, Lapsley, Nasi, & Pagliari, 2015).
