Guidance for your ePortfolios
So basically:
Word document- headings / subheadings 'Topic 2' - intext referencing - link to artefact in e-portfolio ie: see Topic 2 / Artefact 2 in e-portfolio titled 'how to wash a cat' - reference list (including source of artefact in this reference list as well as your eportfolio) - submit through dropbox
To link to your artefact at the bottom of your module response have a statement thats says:
Please refer to artefact 1 in e-portfolio outlining.........
ePortfolio- title artefact in e-portfolio 'Topic 2 / Artefact 2- How to wash a cat' - share complete eportfolio with Franca and I - cut and paste URL link to your e-portfolio into the space in the dropbox (similar to the link for the OSCA videos in 2nd year)
Now:
Don't confuse your 'reference source' with your artefact. So your reference could be your in-text, but your artefact may be something that assists in supporting your writing and your reference. Otherwise it is purely a reference and not an artefact...your artefact is an additional piece of work / item to support your topic response.
So you may use your journal article Bob, 1,. Bob 2,. Bob 3, XXXXXXXXXXbut your artefact is a separate article / website/video that supports your resource from Bob 1 et.al (2015)
You can put your artefact references inthe eportfolio ‘description’ textbox, see Topic 1 example for this.
Your portfolio should look a little like this image…creative and pretty?

You can also use this link to access my example, see how you can navigate through the Topics / pages and see the artefacts....this link should work.
For a giggle...check out Topic 2

Your collection artefacts are:
- Articles
- Websites
- Documents
- Clips / video
- Images
- Policies etc
These artefacts support your responses to your topic modules. Therefore in your written response to the topic you would refer the marker to your artefact ie: Please see artefact #2 Titled 'How to wash a cat'....
The collection is a 'term' used in the e-portfolio; so to start a collection you are starting a 'group' or a 'folder' if you will of your artefacts / resources.
Use the library guide for referencing as this lists articles, webpages, youtube, and photos using creative commons.
So in regards to images, there would be the copyright referencing if its' a google image; and you should probably use the original 'site'.
Another way around it, is to use creative common images and therefore you can reference this as per the library APA guide for photos / images. Can you find the same image through this link below...this is a community of images that have no copyright attachments and therefore can be freely shared with minimal referencing issues based on 'who was the original author'.
