Wireline networks provided the voice, data and video services to consumers whether large or small as well as to other carriers. Due to the emergence of Wireless sector, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and data service using cable or fiber optics, more and more customers has been moving towards the Wireless network or the mobile network. Even then it is not expected that the Fixed Networks would go extinct because even now the data packet is transmitted using the wireline network only and the transmission between the device and cell tower is wireless.
In the Wireless sector also, due to the continuous changes in the technology like, improved network capacity, decreasing the marginal cost of moving the packet from Point A to Point B, Improved Efficiency due to which the costs of the companies have come down and hence the selling prices are also coming down.
