Group Model HMO is a Health Maintenance Organization that contracts with the single 
multi-specialty medical group towards providing care to all the HMO’s memberships. This group 
practice usually works exclusively within the HMO, and it may also provide health care services 
to the non-HMO patients along with in certain cases. It would be highly beneficial for a 
physician to join my Group Model HMO. On physician’s part he would be employed on a fixed 
base salary and a percentage of variables based on the number of patients he serves within my 
Group Model HMO. This certainly is highly beneficial for the physician as he would be earning 
a base income, would have a chance to show his expertise and grow along with an offer of 
earning more variable components.
