Relational Listening
    Relational listening can be described as the particular style of listening where the listener focuses on the feelings and emotions of the conversational partners (Geiman & Greene, 2019). The job of a Clinical Research Manager involves overseeing the different trials that take place in the various healthcare centres and research arenas. For this purpose, the Clinical Research Manager has to engage in a number of conversations with the trial sponsors, the clinical research associates as well as the specialists. Relational listening applies to the style of listening which involves the action of listening intently while also focusing on the emotional wellbeing and feelings of the speaker or the conversational partners. When I am engaging in a conversation with my team of clinical research associates and discussing certain personal problems that they are experiencing during the course of the trials, I will use relational listening to empathize with them.
