Introduction
Team dynamics and collaboration are no longer unfamiliar terms to the various business functions. In fact, modern organizations thrive to achieve perfected state, when it comes to manage their teams working on various projects linked to products or sales (Berger & Webster Jr, 2020). No matter, which department or sector is there, the word team holds its value and significance in the context of showing collaboration of efforts that a team puts in to maximize the outputs of a particular work (Christian, Christian, Pearsall & Long, 2017).
At the same time, if the term team is important in all contexts whether it is business, social or academic world, the term assessment tool holds equal significance in the present days. It is because it is also significant to evaluate the efficacy of various aspects/concepts that are applied to structure an ideal team (Tuan, 2021).
The following is the analysis of the team dynamics and communication along with some other aspects, which were evaluated by using the provided assessment tool. This report also recommends some areas, which need improvement such as mentoring and touch ups in the coordination.
Overview of the Results
At first, it is important to examine in detail the results, which have been obtained through the team assessment tool, provided with a view to understand where the team in which I worked stands. This tool is developed by Jessica and other efficient scholars and it was published in Harvard Business Review in 2019. There are nine measurable parameters, over which the scores of a team can be put, ranging from one to ten in each category.
These categories are setting up the purpose of the team, which stands for knowing the clarity of objectives in the mindset of every team member about the assigned task. Based on the performance of the team, the score was perfect ten because every member of the team knew well what the team was supposed to ca
y out during the project and at the same time, the member understood the tasks assigned to him or her on individual level. This was the first requisite with a view to make sure that the onset of the project work goes well in future.
Secondly, Buy-in and commitment are the other two important aspects before a team should undertake any project (Tuna, 2021). It is more like having the commitment to contribute effectively in the team’s role and work. The score of the team in this category was again, a perfect ten. At third and fourth category appear complimentary skills and following norms and rules linked to the structure and team ethics as well as towards maintaining honest approach to the project itself.
Complimentary skills simply enhance the productivity of the team overall; the team dynamics becomes smooth, in case there are team members who display additional skills that can enhance the quality of the desired outcomes set forth by the team.
