Introduction
For long, personality has remained an important feature of studies that determine various
factors impacting job performance. According to the study conducted by Beer and Brooks,
personality is a form of trait that helps in differentiating behavior of one person from another.
The study also highlighted that personality of a person helps in providing valuable insight
about an individual’s job performance (Beer, Brooks, 2011).
Researchers across the globe have laid much stress on understanding the relationship between
personality and organizational outcomes. While few researchers believe that human behavior
and personality have stable traits which impacts behavior at work ((Denissen et al., 2011;
Ge
er et al., 2011), others are of the opinion that personality is an important factor which
helps in determining environment and situation an individual would like to stay in personality
effects the environments in which individuals are living (Chen, 2004; Schneider et al., 1998;
Judge & Cable, 1997; Ba
