Essay Question: How is sexuality used as a form of racial power that is applied through gender? To answer this:
1. Choose a racial group (it could be African American, Asian American, or Latinx American that we discussed or you could choose a specific group with those (such as 1^st generation African immigrants, Southeast Asian/Indian American, or Brazilian) or another altogether.
2. Choose a quote from any of our course readings (or your Annotated Bibliography research (be sure to give the author and title)) that defines a specific way that sexuality is used to police/control/dominate each gender differently in that particular social group.
3. Choose an example from any class reading, art, film/tv, internet, your own or another’s experience, historical or current event, or anything that shows your point.
4. Finally offer a suggestion about how to resist, change, challenge, etc. the form of power you are describing. This can be anything and can be directly related or coming from your example (in other words you could discuss an example of resistance to power) or your suggestion could be more indirectly related in which you explain one way you think one could work against or otherwise negotiate the form of power you describe. Be sure to explain your answer a bit.

Introduction
Racism based on gender and sexuality is a particular form of prejudice. Prejudice and per-formed judgement in negative connotation or non-conducive attitude is discrimination leading to inferiority complex. Our society is also made in such a way that there is vast difference in power, wealth and status. Some social groups have excessive status and enjoy much greater benefits than other groups. This social stratification is often very pointed and directed in opposition to definite individuals or groups of particular community. This discrimination can be fundamentally based on various parameters like gender, age, weight, ethnicity, religion or politics. Prejudice based on gender is called sexism and discrimination based on race is referred as racism.
A. Phenomenon of discrimination is widespread and crucial matter in America since it still has strong foothold in the culture that hampers on health of the individual and group. Majority of Asian American confirms in the research that they have experienced discrimination interacting with police authorities. Indian- American are often suspected for any crime in the neighborhood and have reported of unfair treatment.
