Historical Perspective - Focus Period: 1625-1798
The historical perspective witness in this period 1625 to 1798 which is of primary focus is crowning of Charles I and series of events that took place in his reign. There was a major clash of the parliaments over the funding for war and armed resources. Activities like extortion of loans from various wealthy stakeholders urged the poor and middle class people into military. During this period, people witnessed complete dissolvent of parliament for 11 years. Clergymen were forced to conform to Anglican Church, persecution and distorted tortured dissenter. Condemned as
utal tyrant by the parliament in 1642 in starting the civil war. Many were beheaded for the same reason in the beginning of the year 1649. Charles had applied strong force to summon parliaments while the rebels of Scotland attacked him. This declaration of civil war gave him the name of tyrant as Prince Charles tries to maneuver sever reformative actions that leads to civil war. Later, forces of Parliament, which was led by Oliver Cromwell, defeat Charles I and his royalist army and take them as the prisoner. Thus, Charles I was convicted of treason by radical puritans as well as was beheaded later.
