For thousands of female field workers, sexual harassment has become a part of the job because they are, according to Doloers Huerta, the co-founder of United Farm Workers, looked at as "sex objects" in the field. Sexual harassment has occurred since the last forty years as an epidemic in the field. Many underage women have to endure vulgar comments; their co-workers and supervisors rape inappropriate touching and further, them. Still they prefer to keep quiet in fear of losing their jobs and deportation. Bill Tamayo, the Regional Attorney of EEOC (Equal Employment Opportunity Commission), said he met four African farm workers in San Francisco and each of them was raped in the field by their supervisor (Latisha Badilla, 2018).  The first case that was dealt by EEOC was in 2002.
