I have experienced a policy change, I believe it’s more like something that was implemented before my position was obtained, although the job description is basically the same as another job description it really is the difference of being a high school level position or a elementary school position. You are meant to break up fights in high school, but in an elementary setting you are not. Let’s be honest if you were the adult and you were walking past a fight are you going to turn your back and say that is not in my job description or are you going to intervene? I would hope that everybody’s answer would be intervene that’s why this policy needs to be changed and the pay grade needs to be equal as a high school position.
As of today we are yet to see if these policies have worked out or not but in the light of things rather the policy works out and it is changed to benefit high school and elementary school as one the fact will never change, that if there is a fight it will be stopped. This brings me into another question if a person states this is something that is not in their Job description it can most definitely result into a legal battle, for instance if you have two children that are fighting and one of them gets a head injury which results in hospitalization and possibly permanent damages. Is that a lawsuit waiting to happen against the school district or even against the employee? Because they did not stop the fight?
Once again it was not in their job description? I personally feel that no matter what it states in your job description a regular human being would stop and most definitely get involved in something when it comes to children, if that is not your forte then chances are that is not your line of work.Reply

Well, these are some of the radical changes that are coming in the workplace. But also, there's progressive networking all across the world that's in alignment for the coming future which will, radical change everything for many of us in our jobs, lives, and what we are accustomed to seeing. One can take a look at workforce of the future and see some radical changes.

I have to agree on IBM which, was awarded the honor earlier on, has to be championed for changes in the workforce. And likewise, I have experienced policy changes over the years for me working in high-end luxury hotel properties, it has been predominantly Caucasian like many companies over the years. But now there's more diversity, being introduced so I would say those policies are working out. But on the other hand, there are policies in some areas I do feel that still lacking in my workforce with upper administration in areas, like the Sales Department, General Management, and Human Resources, this position there are not many changes of diversity, so there is still room for improvement.
