According to the estimation made by the United Nation, there are 37 million indigenous group stays globally in 70 different countries. These groups have diverse cultures and languages. However, in most cases, these indigenous populations are observed to have persisting health inequality and a higher rate of mortality. The cu

Reason for Indigenous People Experiencing Health Disparities Globally Affecting their Health and Life Expectancy
There are several data that have been generated by the World Health Organization. Due to the extreme poverty among the indigenous populations, there are other factors as well, such as lack of education as well as social services, which make the destruction in the socio-political and economic structures. As stated by Ring, Dixon, Lovett and Al-Yaman (2016), as a result, the health status of this population is low. In addition, there are other factors that include force-displacement, degradation in terms of their customary resources and lands and armed conflict has resulted in the poor health of the indigenous population.
Factors Influencing Health Disparities
There are cases where due to the excessive social discrimination and racism, the women as well as the children within the indigenous population become vulnerable to different diseases. According to Burns et al. (2019), these include malnutrition, cardiovascular disease, HIV/AIDS high number of infant mortality and different infectious diseases such as tuberculosis and malaria.
