Even though there are certain similarities between both the research methodologies like their holistic nature along with extended time period. However, both differs in their area of focus and implementation. While ethnography concentrates to discover the cultural phenomenon while the case studies aims to elaborate the very nature of the phenomena (Sells, S. P., Smith, T. E., & Newfield, N., 1997).
