Does the following sentence mean A or B?
1 I have seen them defeated.
a-I have seen them be defeated.
b-I have seen them after their being defeated. I have seen them in a defeated state.

2-I have seen them defeated by the Lakers.
Does it mean A or B?
a-I have seen them be defeated by the Lakers.
b-I have seen them after the Lakers have defeated them. I know what they look like after they have been beaten by the Lakers.

The first one would be the first one. The seen them be defeated as the best answer.

The second one, again, appears to have the same context and the best answer, again, would be the first one.
