Ans 1. Number of degrees in the obtuse angle between clock hands at 1:30pm is calculated as below:
Since when the clock says 1: 30 p.m. it means the hour hand moves from 12 to 1 and cover an angle of 30 ͦ while the minute hand moves 180 ͦ in going from 12 to 6.
So, the total number of degrees covered here = 180 ͦ+ 30 ͦ = 210 ͦ
