Critical Analysis 
The paper described the quality management plan for Providence Hospital. It also 
conducted SWOT and detailed cause analysis of various quality management factors to be 
implemented in the hospital. While the paper is good in analyzing the employee perspective, it 
highly lacks giving detailed analysis on customer perspective. The Providence group should their 
patient’s full access to their medical records electronically, as well as email access to their 
doctors in various hospitals. Despite many of the doctor's fears that they would be inundated 
with messages, their patients utilized the technology exactly as they should have and both parties 
benefited from the information being accessible in a more useful format. This actually decreased 
the amount of communication the patient had to have with the doctors.  
The surveys done by Providence should look at all aspects of the various hospitals and 
how they are being staffed; how the staff operates on a regular basis, and how they incorporate 
preventative methodology.
