Introduction
Health inequalities are a major matter of concern to the government of all states; the problem
is raising socio economic differences in the facilities available to all. Different articles and
finding shows astonishing figures of mortality rate and illness which can be distinguish on the
asis of social economic measures (Baldock, et al., 2012). This article will focus on
understanding the impact of social policies on public health. Though medicine is important
for fighting with health issues but after a point investments on medicines will also not lead to
any development in the health industry as it is shaped and impacted by number of factors that
can be addressed through social policies.

Though the health conditions in Britain have improved dramatically in number of factors
such as decreasing mortality rates, increasing life expectancy but inequality gap has widened
in number of areas (BBC online, 2005). For instance there is huge difference in life chance
etween genders, such as the death expectancy ration between males and females generally is
1.85. Beside gender, there is huge difference in regional health scenarios also, for instance if
egional variation is analyzed on the mortality rate factor than there is difference in the
number in all regions, for example, mortality rate in Northern, Yorkshire & Humberside is
113 (DHSS, 2013), whereas in south east region it is 90. Similarly, there is huge difference
lies on many other factors such as race, ethnicity, etc (Marmot & Wilkinson, 2003).
