Consider your own role and practice within your industry and the types of issues that clients may present with outside of your scope of practice.
You are required to write a detailed report on the community support or specialised services in your local area that you could refer clients to as required.
You may source information from your workplace, colleagues or conduct internet research.
Your report must include community service or specialised support services that assist people with the following issues:
§Domestic violence
§Homelessness
§Drugs and alcohol
§Financial difficulty
§Mental illness and suicide prevention
§Problem gambling
You must identify at least one service for each of the potential client issues - a total of at least six different services should be included in your report.
For each of the community service or specialised support services, you must include the following information:
§Name and contact details
§Referral procedure (if applicable)
§Support services offered
Include a list of references at the end of your report to indicate where you have sourced your information.
