Introduction 
Optical instruments  are those which processes the light waves  so that an image can be enhanced 
for viewing. They even anlyze light waves so that a number of characteristics of photons can be 
determined. In the report presented here, a brief description of these sort of equipments have been

Also categorised as viewing instrument, these sort of instruments are generally used for viewing 
/examining  an object or scene. In several cases the thin viewed is mathematical. In general these 
sort of instruments end with the word scope which means “to see”. Binoculars, Cinemascope, 
Cystoscope, Electroscope, Kaleidoscope, oscilloscope, microscope, etc. are the examples of these 
kinds of equipments.
