According to Binde (2017), employee embezzlement cases are responsible for causing an average loss of $1.4 million per act. One such case is presented here, ‘Sydney’ and ‘Joel’ two different characters, belonged to different states but had common embezzlement cases. One of them was single mother while other was party lover; both stole money from their owners to pay their personal bills.
Justin, who was a the owner of a newly opened company ‘Home Renewal and Repair LLC’ trusted his best friend’s choice of girls and offered her job of a bookkeeper in his company. Sydney just after few days of job started using Justin’s name to cash business checks in order to pay her personal bills. Not only this, she opened a sub-account without Justin’s knowledge and started transferring money into it, later she used that money to pay her credit card bills (Brown, 2014).
Joel was the daughter of an attorney and was a nightlife lover.
