The SWOT analysis of the company is conducted to analyze the possible strength, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of the company. Further in this report, the significance of the external environmental analysis in the creation of the strategic plan is also discussed.
Present and Prospective Customers
The present and prospective customers of the company are women. As more than 80 percent of the pharmacy chain customers consist of women. Considering the future prospects also they are considered as the prime customers of the company.
Impact of the Factors-
There are several factors that considerably impact the functioning and channelization of the organization. Some of the prime factors include-
Consumer and Social- in the market context the beliefs and the attitude of the population play a very important role as it helps in analyzing the consumers and the customers that belong to that specific market. Considering the consumer and social factors it is very important that the company should be aware of the aspects like the demographics, class structure, culture, and educational level of the people (Dalisova, Sharopatova, & Karaseva, 2020).
Competitive Factors- the competitors of the company have some subsequent impact on the company as if the company is not able to possibly deal with its competitors then it subsequently impacts the market presence of the company.
Technological Factors- the technological factors also have a huge impact on the company as it impacts the product offerings as well as the cost structure in the health care plans industry. It also impacts the value chain of the company up to some extent.
Economic Factors- the economic factors that subsequently impact the CVS Corporation include the inflation rates, savings rates, interest rates, and foreign exchange rates.
