Case Study Summary: BallotOnline Co.
You recently created BallotOnline’s Cloud Orchestration and Automation Report. In that report, you worked on an orchestration framework, automated operations, and conducted related API integration. As the chief cloud architect, you are now looking to implement the kind of advanced features that basic cloud offerings lack.
In this project, you will evaluate and implement advanced features in the cloud and compile and consolidate your activities as the Advanced Cloud Features Runbook. It is important for BallotOnline to have these advanced features to enable effective IT operations in the cloud.
As the cloud architect for BallotOnline, you are glad that the organization is em
acing cloud computing. You know that taking full advantage of advanced features will help BallotOnline with scalability and cost efficiency. Those enhanced features will increase security, reduce risk, and effectively manage cloud infrastructure.
You’ve decided to evaluate, configure, and deploy the following advanced features to support BallotOnline’s new cloud infrastructure:
· advanced data protection (Steps 1 and 2),
· advanced data security (Steps 3 and 4),
· advanced scaling and availability (Step 5),
· advanced cloud resource monitoring and metering (Step 6), and
· comprehensive service catalog with advanced features (Step 7).
You will detail these features and include the catalog in the runbook (Step 8) that you will show to the executive board. The board will evaluate your runbook based on industry best practices and standards as well as how much it meets the business needs of BallotOnline.
