Dear Mr. Draude,
Further to your initial request and our kick off meeting we have worked on the proposed report
and analysis. As requested and agreed we have paid particular attention to Big Data offering
apart from Cloud Computing offerings. We have not only looked into these two upcoming
platforms closely but have evaluated present company status in light of them and suggested
action steps.
As you can verify and look into report, it has been found that cloud computing is something that
no one can afford to ignore. Also Big Data is something that is the next leap in Information
Technology Space. On the company front through it is decently placed to em
ace cloud
computing but the same is out of compulsion and not will and this will need to change. On the
Big Data front company is not eve novice, it has not started em
acing it at all.
Finally report attempts to suggest strategies and changes that need to be
ought in by company
so that not only its business operating efficiencies are improved but it is also better position to
tap in future business offerings.
Thank you, for providing me this opportunity for preparation of this report. I would be glad to
discuss any questions that you may have at our scheduled meeting scheduled on Friday 26
th
October 2012.
Yours sincerely
Kit Hughes

Executive Summary:
We in this report have looked at the new trends in It infrastructure and possibilities and have
looked at that from a personally attached organization perspective. We have looked at cloud
computing and Big Data aspects and the company that we have chosen is named “Radix Web”.
Radix operates in the domain of Web and Mobile App development service as outsourcing
partner and offers it services across a number of platforms. We have looked at its present stack of
offering, IT infrastructure and possible issues associated with it to look into how it is position in
present and for future needs.
Going ahead we looked at cloud computing offerings adaptation of it and found that through it
has adopted it but most of the adaptation has been because of compulsion of client need and not a
initiative by it. We also looked at the Big Data, its possibilities and adaptation by Radix. As we
looked at there is generation of tremendous amount of data over past couple of years and the
same could be put to insightful usage. On the big data front we do see that even through a
humongous future potential is there but there are many problems that needed be addressed
starting immediately before it could be done.
The problems included qualified and capable professional to handle various stage of Big Data
implementation, cost effective IT infrastructure in place and the major being the quality and
variety of the very data being collected. However it is good to be optimistic about future and one
can see that customer servicing, customer delights and operational efficiencies of organization
are the
oad level areas future adaptation and implementation of big data shall happen. In light
of the concerned organization under consideration, it is recommended that on the client serving
part it can make use of Big Data but it has to put in complete restructuring and training before it
can do it.
Radix at present does not make use of any of the possible Big Data elements it collects and there
is not much from its own business perspective that it can how. However it is recommended for it
to go ahead and arm itself with Big Data analytics offering and since it has good repo and client
ase with it cloud adaptation, it won’t be very hard for it to build initial trust with client with
their new offering. At the end it would be apt to say that Radix has not been matching up with
the growth in very environment in which it operates its business and there is need and
opportunity for it to do so and make justified, data backed decision making across its operation.
Introduction:
For the report and analysis under consideration I have shortlisted to go ahead with my past
working organization as the ideal organization to look into from this perspective. This is because
not only am I very well aware about all aspects related to organization but also since it fits as per
selection criteria, I would be in a much better and realistic position to recommend strategies to it.
The organization I am refe
ing to is named “Radix Web” and it operates in the industry of
Information Technology.
It is specifically into offshore service providing for Web Application and Mobile Apps
development service across number of platforms and provides consulting, design, development
and maintenance service in related field. In terms of mission it intend to constantly and
aggressively grow with single destination of achieving 100% client satisfaction in the path.
Corporate structure of Radix Web is pretty flat with single CEO, one COO, one CFO and all
these followed by PMs, TLs and executives. All of this hierarchy have communication plan in
place but the culture is open to take someone’s concern to highest level even if things are not
improving.
In line with its mission it has good relation and respect from all its client and partner agencies.
On the government front there is not much interaction and dependency as long as legal needs are
honored which it does perfectly. It believe in reward all employee for the success of organization
and hence there is strong and aggressive growth plan in place for right candidates and are offered
onus percentages as well. All mentioned details of organization; achievement and policies could
e looked at and verified from https:

IT Infrastructure: Management Issues & Cloud Computing:
As the heading of the section would have made it clear, we in this section of report would be
looking at management related issues, computing and IT infrastructure related aspects and new
trends adaptation aspects. It is in line with same, we start off with IT infrastructure ecosystem
next, followed by number of different smaller but important aspects.
- The IT Infrastructure Ecosystem:
When it comes to looking at IT infrastructure ecosystem there are
oadly seven
dimensions across which it is looked at. Starting next, for the concern organization we
will look at all the 7 dimensions and detail out specification in a
ief way.
o Internet Platforms: In this domain company makes use of Apache, Tomcat,
Microsoft IIS, .Net, Unix, Cisco and Java (Writer, 2012).
o Computer Hardware Platforms: In this domain company makes use of
platforms such as Dell, IBM, Sun, HP, Samsung, Apple, Linux, Lenovo etc.
https:
www.rndinfo.com
o Operating Systems Platforms: In this domain company makes use of platforms
such as Microsoft Windows, Unix, Linux, Mac OS X and Android.
o Enterprise Software Applications: This domain is limited in scope of usage for
company and the only application used by company includes Oracle and
Microsoft.
o Networking/Telecommunications: On this front, company makes use of
Microsoft Windows Server, Linux Server, Cisco, Lucent, Airtel, DoCoMo &
Nortel
o Consulting & System Integrators: This is also something not widely need for
company and at present it only makes use of none.
o Data Management & Storage: This dimension has been extensively explored by
organization and it makes use of IBM DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, MySql, SQLlite,
PostgresSQL, MongoDB etc.
- Issues with IT Infrastructure Management:
As we can realize the concerned organization is small in size and has been growing
attractively over the years. Looked from this angle there seems to be no major issues even
from IT infrastructure management issues as well. However when it is reflected that
company is just 4 years old and still have first set of employee in senior position and this
coupled with fact that not much MIS is being done, it throws up pointers that indicate that
from long term perspective there could be possible issues.
In this section we try to reflect upon some of such issues associated with IT Infrastructure
management. One of the major issues that I see from a internal eye perspective is that it is
good to have first recruits till doing good but there needs to be a line of person below that
who could be looked as solution in times of need (Writer, 2012). At present there is also
alternative to these first recruits and sometimes it causes...
