1. Introduction
    In today’s modern age social media have happened to be a very momentous part of each and everyone’s life. It is a boon to all of us and acts as blessings albeit via personal interchangeable messages, viewing forums, addressing the world news, making marketing sense, accessing information in a single platform and much more to say the least (Chae, 2018). Social media is making a
unt to such an extent that it is also turning out to be a curse, mainly among young audiences. Social media has also garnered a debate that questions whether it actually has positive impacts that the common community says. Social media has been ascribed as the key in providing a learning opportunity, a hefty scale of media consumption, providing job opportunities, online marketing and shopping, mass communication on one stage and many more but also have been identified to have impacts on human health.
2. Literature review
The impact of social media is rapidly increasing in modern society. Each day more people joining it and getting connected by this platform. The people who are getting the most influenced are young adults (Sherlock & Wagstaff, 2018). There are many young adults who are heavily addicted to social media. Social media has both negative and positive impact on its user.
The quantity of negative impact of social media on its user and especially on young adults are vast. It affects its user various ways such as reduced study habits, bad health and desire to escape reality.
Aside from the negative impact on social media it also has positive impacts as well. They help modern society in various ways. The rapid increase of social media among young adults is widely noticeable (Fardouly et al., 2015). The modern youth society needs various ranges of information for their wellbeing. A social networking site provides them with the necessary information. A social networking site helps students or modern youths in various ways as well.
2.1    Impact on Study
In its first addition, social media can put a serious impact on study and grades on young adults and especially students. Youths who addicted to social media becomes bad in their performance in school or college. Their focus on class starts to decrease during the lecture of a professor or teacher (Feng et al., 2019). Their anxiety increases if they did not check their cell phones every few minutes and becomes agitated and that agitation of checking their social media is what blocks them from focusing on class. Not only on school or college these students also addicted to social media on home as well. Their addiction blocks them from exercise or learning new lessons at home.
On the other hand, teenagers use social media or social networking sites such as Facebook or Youtube to complete their various types of assignment, through social media they can connect themselves to other students and discuss and share ideas regarding the educational topic. According to the viewpoint of Moghavvemi et al. (2018), Students can hone their skill through a platform like Youtube, Whatsapp, Facebook which provides endless skill developing videos on the topic. Users can even learn different types of languages which help them in their education. These social media also provide with various kind of information about the cu
ent circumstances which helps the students being informed about cu
ent circumstances and helps to takes appropriate decision. The social media provides students with various multi sources of information which helps them achieve academic achievements and improve their study activity.
2.2    Impact on Psychology among Adolescent Women
Another striking impact of social media is self-observation social media injects a psychological habit of observation towards self and other body structure (Al-Rahmi et al., 2018). This type of perspective can cause narcissism, racism and many other types of viewpoints.
