Organisations are constructed when number of individuals work together day and night in order to build an empire. ent article focuses towards Australian largest telecommunication company Telstra and the strategies that had been applied by the company not only to maintain a sustainable organisational structure but also to maintain a healthy work culture.
1. Managerialism in Telstra
The concept of managerialism is not dominantly apparent within the organisation however, the organisation possess business dealings overseas also therefore an effective managerial line up has been implied by the organisation. Further, the organisation suggests that an effective manager is necessary as the staff simply implements what the manager thinks and plans for them and this was observed during 2010-2015 when David Thodey was appointed as the CEO of the company and announced the creation of $1 billion fighting fund to win back the dropped market shares and as a result in 2014 company was announced as the most respected company (Telstra, 2019).
Further, the executives appointed by the company not only reflect high academic qualifications in management but also
illiant previous experiences; therefore, they do not focus management as the potential business runner instead corporate relations are given priority. However, every employee is considered as an important part of the organisation. Further, they also do not focus towards the concept of client, as the customer (Tsui & Cheung, 2004).
