Chapter 1
a. Hierarchical Analysis
In organisational setting, the assessment of trends, patterns and types provide vital aid to the management of resources, functioning of programs and formulation of strategies. As stated by Zhou, Cheng, Zhang, Gaaloul and Ning (2018), in order to identify the patterns, types and smaller sections of actions and objects, mathematical tools must be used for calculative and constant outcomes that help in separating as well as merging groups. In case of hierarchical analysis, the algorithm of data based similarities are used for assessing the patterns of similar characteristic of objects, actions and outcomes to form smaller groups, namely clusters, from larger groups or large-clusters. Depending on the type of approach, hierarchical analysis is of two types — Macro-to-micro and Micro-to-macro (Boyd, 2000).
In case of Macro-to-micro hierarchical model, contents of larger clusters and separated into smaller groups for easier and group based identification of aspects. As mentioned by Makikangas et al. (2018), Macro-to-micro hierarchical analysis uses the top down approach for selectively identifying similar pattern algorithms. In case of business management, the smaller groups help in identifying the factors of organisational performance.
On the other hand, Micro-to-macro hierarchical analysis mergers the contents of smaller clusters for form larger clusters for the ease of collective assessment. As supported by D’Angella, Kollmannsberger, Rank and Reali (2018), in case of Micro-to-macro hierarchical analysis the bottoms up approach is used for forming bigger clusters of characteristics, which assesses data less time consuming. In the context of organisational framework, the use of Micro-to-macro hierarchical model helps in assessing the internal and external atmosphere of organisational for better strategizing and management.
. Infinite Element Analysis
The internal organisational factors tend to be small, less impactful and have limited areas of concern. The internal factors are generally the building blocks of cellular micro factors. As mentioned by Nguyen, Phan, Phan and Phan (2018), micro factors tend to function within the framework of an organisation’s internal section and are responsible for the formation of the external macro factors. The internal micro factors are considered in specific patterns at the time of forming an external factor.
It is found that a specific group of micro factors can formulate more than one macro factors, which means variations of all micro factors would be able to formulate infinite numbers of macro factors, each of which would have different characteristics, different in some degree from one another. Infinite elements, being small in their impact integrated through the bottoms up approach for the formulation of the macro elements. As mentioned by Soro et al. (2018), as the micro and macro factors do not work on similar parameters, a combination of diverse mathematical calculations are needed, which would consider different aspect of micro factors.
It is also worth the mention that, since the macro factors are framed; using the internal infinite factors of organisations, the macro factors tend to be very effective and organic with the organisational functioning. The infinite element analysis is the contrasting form of finite element analysis, in which the reverse mechanism that makes the microelement separated from macro elements are taken into account. As mentioned by Boyd (2000), considering the mechanism in which regression analysis works, it can be said that the analysis is opposite of theoretical analysis.
c. Regression Analysis
Considering the concern areas and the ways in which elements of organisational factors work, macro and micro clusters are very different in nature and their effectiveness. The regression analysis is a statistical tool for combining both types of factors for form a collective aspect that would provide...
