It is an undeniable fact that the U.S. health care sector needs more preparedness. 
Amidst the growing dilemmas that are threatening the wellbeing of the global populace, as a 
global leader, U.S. should invest more in global health to ensure that its own health care 
sector is appropriately positioned for serving the populace. U.S. investment in global health 
should be considered as a key to success in terms of accomplishing the actual objectives of 
the country’s health care system. Such an investment is not only going to pave the way for 
the development of the indigenous health care system of the U.S., but would also enhance the 
reputation of the country as a leader in the realm of global health care.  
As Boyer and Ibrahim (n.d.) have already pointed out; there is an immense need of 
reshaping and restructuring the U.S. health care sector and for doing so the health care sector 
of the U.S. must appropriately utilize the Healthy People 2020 program for ensuring 
enhancement of public health. But only aligning the health care strategies with the objectives 
and goals of Healthy People 2020 is not going to solve the issue. Emphasizing on the need of 
increasing the degree of preparedness within the U.S. health care domain, Moore (2012) has 
rightly suggested that, as the public health is a global issue, the U.S.
