A great presentation was organized at University of southern Queensland to develop an idea 
about career development and the skills necessary for great career in life. It was given by Ms. 
Catherine Chinook on 15

 March 2012 at Room No- 102. The topic of the presentation is 
“Employability” i.e factors responsible for a rewarding and good career. 
Critical Skills and Attribute for Employability 
 
The important critical skills for any good career are as follows:- 
1) Good employability skills such as aptitude 
2) Personal attributes such as right attitude 
3) Good communications and interpersonal skills 
4) Team work  
5) Great problem solving skills 
6) Initiative and enterprises 
7) Planning and organizing skills 
8) Self management, learning and technical skills
Analysis on presentation 
 
 The presentation is just superb as it helps me in identifying the key skills in all the above 
mentioned categories. Till date, I read many theories pertaining to employee 
characteristics in organizational behavior books, but now I am able to relate it with 
myself which I am going to explain in the next topics.
