Introduction
The healthcare issue addressed is suicide among the nurses in the medical field. As mentioned by Goldney (2016), suicide among the nurses has become common globally. On an average, around 6% of the suiciding population belongs to nursing professionals. It has been seen that many factors contributed towards the suicide among nurses. Most of the nurses commit suicide due to professional reasons instead of the personal reasons. At professional level, nursing burnout, violence, poor job satisfaction, lack of appreciation, high workload instigates suicidal tendencies among nurses.
It has been seen that nurses faced the violence towards them by patients or their family members. Patients suffering from Alzheimer or dementia often commit violence against the nurses. The nursing burnout can be defined as the emotional, mental and physical exhaustion among the nurses (Davidson, Zisook, Ki
y, DeMichele & Norcross, 2018). When workload becomes very high and appreciation towards job become very low, nurses often show burnout. It must be noted that prolonged burnout often slipped the nurses into depression and later results into suicides among patients.
As stated by Davidson, Stuck, Zisook and Proudfoot (2018), one of the prominent issues, which result into a high suicidal tendency among nurses, is work pressure and workload. The shortage of the nursing staff in the hospital settings increase the workload and work pressure of the nursing staff, which forced them to do overtime and their personal as well as professional lives lacked the balance, which stressed them further. It must be noted that all these factors together pushed the nurses to the edge and they commit suicide. It has been seen that rate of the suicide among nurses per year is 5.12. In past ten years, more than 300 nurses commit suicide (Davidson et al., 2018).

Requirement of Resources and Key Stakeholders Involved
It has been seen that the there are many key stakeholders who are affected by the suicide of the nursing staff. These people include healthcare professionals, patients, fellow nursing staff and administrative staff. As mentioned by Petitta, Jiang and Hartel (2017), patients are taken care by nursing staff. The quality of the care given to the patient is dependent on the nursing intervention (Petitta et al., 2017). It has been seen that nurses suffered from the suicidal tendencies lack the motivation to provide high quality care to the patients.
