Introduction
Criminal justice is the system of government directed so as to control, deter and mitigate crime
and punishing those who so ever violates the law. Punishment may be done with criminal
penalties or imprisonment. During uncertainties Ethics in criminal justice gives the ways of
making choices which are moral in nature. (Garland, 2002).
Thus moral rules, criminal justice system and ethics are necessary in everyday operations
ecause of the role of helping to support ethical conduct in criminal justice issues.
Individual Right
“Right” is a moral principle sanctioning and defining the freedom of action in social society. The
most important fundamental right is the right to individual own life. Rights are also termed as
enefits or privileges or powers one can claim. Individual is the basic unit of society.
Individual rights are the privileges, powers held by single person rather than the whole group.
Rights of individuals can be authorized by Law, delivered by social means and extended through
self- discrimination. Individual rights are of two positive or negative. Negative individual right in
the sense that it did not allow the person to do certain activities, whereas positive individual right
in the sense that it allow the person to do certain activities. The individual rights are Freedom of
Speech, press and religion; Freedom from unreasonable searches; Economic, political and civil
ights; Right to assembly freely; Right to petition; Right to vote and use property; Right to life.
