Spirituality
Introduction
The worldview is the basic basis of the reality shared by cultures. It is made up of values, categories, and assumptions. These assumptions give people a perspective of seeing the world. Due to the
oad vision of the worldview, people have similarities in culture, communities and even families, but their points of view are different. Spirituality affects people's worldview, so it should be considered in medical institutions. The philosophical concepts of postmodernism and scientism are modern obstacles that prevent people from fully understanding spirituality in the medical setting. In this way, my worldview is influenced by my Christian faith, but due to my rich scientific experience, I can show that I have multiple relationships. In this thoughtful article, I compare the spirituality of Christianity with the views of modern relativism and scientism, and finally analyze the worldview based on my personal understanding.
Part 1
Spirituality and and health go hand in hand. There are many hospital-owned and sponsored Christian communities. In fact, research shows that psychiatry has a positive impact on the value of medicine and therefore should be considered in the overall health of the patient. Recently, spiritual practices and interests are crossing the borders of Christianity and medicine, spreading to all aspects of medicine that are indispensable to ethics. Therefore, I believe that spirituality is the source of moral life. This means that ethics without spirituality is rootless, so spirituality without morality cannot be manifested. The spirituality of Christianity informs us about our morals, and ultimately spiritual care helps patients obtain informed consent for treatment (Gula, 2000). Until now, spirituality has encompassed all life related to God, which is our absolute value. This means that spirituality affects my outlook on life and is therefore essential to support our morality and a lifestyle that is developed through a commitment to God. One of the reasons that Christian spirituality exists in nursing and healthcare is due to the cu
ent ideology of postmodern relativism. Postmodern relativism refuses to accept the role of general knowledge, scientific rationality, and rationality (Gellner, 2013). This view holds that facts equal knowledge. Postmodern relativism is used to conquer idealism because it leaves no room for pluralism. This theory ignores moral reasoning and cannot describe human life. However, I believe that despite differences in postmodern relatives, some things can coexist to enhance personal spirituality and thus contribute to the worldview. For example, people should not agree that everything they are told is the absolute truth, we should recognize the role of science in health care and still realize that science cannot exist on its own alone or even try.
Part 2
Scientism considers the paradigm of truth and knowledge as the truth and knowledge obtained through the natural sciences. In this sense, religion and philosophy are considered unskilled types of knowledge. Supporters of scientism such as Pinker believe that the moral perspective of the world of scientific and cultural individuals must be completely free from the concept of...
