Introduction
Quantitative methodology includes objective measurements and statistical, mathematical or numerical interpretation of the data collected by surveys and questionnaires or by modifying existing statistical data utilizing computational tools. Quantitative analysis focuses on collecting and generalizing numerical data, through the groups of individuals or describing a specific phenomenon. As mentioned by Little et al. (2018), the aim of quantitative study studies is to evaluate the relationship within the same community from one thing [an independent variable] and the other [a relationship between dependent variable determinants].
Either explanatory [subjects normally calculated once] or experimental [subjects calculated before and after treatment] are quantitative study styles. Only co
elations between variables are identified by a descriptive study; causality is identified by an experimental study. Numbers, reasoning and an analytical position are discussed in quantitative analysis. As stated by Queiros, Faria and Almeida (2017), quantitative research focuses on numerical and unchanging data and comprehensive, convergent thinking instead of divergent thought process that means spontaneous, free-flowing creation of a diversity of opinions about a problem statement.
Type of Data
There are two different sorts of quantitative data: discrete and continuous, which is also called numeric data. As a basic guideline, counts are discrete and there are continuous measurements. A list that cannot be achieved more accurate is discrete data. It usually includes integer numbers. The number of children (or parents, or animals) in family, for example, are discrete details, so count whole, inseparable entities: cannot have 3.5 children or 1.7 pets.
On the other hand, continuous data could be separated and reduced to finer and finer scales. For instance, at increasingly more accurate scales, we can calculate the height of children: meters, centimeters and millimeters, because height is continuous data. The data in the report is the discrete types of data. In the report there is an example of the Calgary Desk Business is a company headquartered in Calgary, Alberta. It is involved in the manufacture of tables and furniture of...
