Solution Design Document (Draft) and Test PlanThe purpose of a Solution Design Document is to provide a thorough and complete description of your proposed solution.
It has to include the logical (network topology, addressing, naming, VLANs, VPNs etc) as well as the physical design (which equipment to use, chosen LAN and WAN technology etc) for solution and provide information on how the design is to be implemented (Installation plans, user guides, administration plans etc). The design decisions that you have made need to be justified by referring back to the customer requirements set out in theRequirements Specification. You will need to show how your proposed design is a valid solution to fulfill these requirements. An electronic copy of the templates for the Design Document can be found in the resources section of the ITC306 Interact site.
Test planThe purpose of a test plan is to clearly document the testing parameters for the system you are building in order to ensure the system is accurately evaluated against the system requirements documented in Assessment Item 2.

3. Executive Summary
The proposal for network design to Virtucon includes so many things, like protocol selection, VLAN implementation, device selection, and most important sub-netting. The complete network design of Virtucon will be changed through this proposal for all its three sites in different cities. The allocation of IP to combine all
anches required to be done in a way so that effective utilization of IP can be done and wastage can be minimized. The device selections in my network design are also very effective and are based on the provided budget. The future aspects of this organization towards the proposed network are also considered while assigning IP and making device selection. The virtucon can take benefits of easy operations with minimum resource utilization from my proposed design. The proposed design to Virtucon is having strengths of effective IP allocation, sub-netting and device selection. All the implemented protocols and selected designs are based on the requirement analysis of Virtucon case. This organization is looking for an effective VLAN based solution for making connection to all its
anches and same desires are effectively presented and implemented in my proposal.
4. Project Goals
The project implementation of new network design at the provided Virtucon organization has its certain goals. The satisfaction of each goal and solving the cu
ently faced issues in effective manner from my network design is my primary goal. Some important goals identified on bases of provided description of case for Virtucon are:
· Virtucon is looking for an effective IP solution for all of its three operational
anches. The changed network design justifies the IP requirements and sub-netting to this organization.
· The implementation of VLAN in each
anch is also expected by this organization. The presented logical and physical design of new network shows the implementation of VLAN to Virtucon.
· The naming system for VLAN implementation in all
anches is expected for all its six departments. The effective naming system helps in IP allocation. So, proper naming is provided to all departments.
· The static IP and DHCP are also required in new network design, and both are implemented effectively.
· The implementation of secured switching and routing protocols is required and this proposal provides justification to these protocol requirements.
· Security of VLAN and wireless network is important goal and firewall implementation accomplishes this goal.
· The QoS design for effective network management is also important goal, and importance is provided to this goal in my...
