This unit describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to monitor and assess the cu

and future capacity requirements of an IT system, plan future enhancements and install the identified
enhancements.
To achieve competency the following assessment tasks must be successfully completed in the time allocated with
the essential resources. Your traine

you with feedback after assessing your work.

You have been appointed as IT manager for an IT training organization. The main purpose of this organization is to
provide IT training to commercial clients. Cu
ently the institute has 30 computers for its clients for training; the
computers are installed with windows 2000 operating system and ADSL2+unlimited plan with AAPT .With the
increase in demand from the commercial clients for the latest software’s training, the training organization is
planning to upgrade its operating system to windows Vista to support the latest software and hardware
technology. And considering the number of clients approaching, the institute has decided to purchase 15 more
computers.
